Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Apprentice for a one-year contract and kick-start your career in software testing and quality engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development of robust, high-quality applications. As an SDET Apprentice, you’ll develop your skills in automation testing, scripting, and performance testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of flawless software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test data for new and existing software applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and design efficient testing strategies.
- Perform manual testing for scenarios that cannot be automated and report bugs and defects.
- Help in the identification and troubleshooting of performance issues in applications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality standards are met.
- Contribute to the development of testing frameworks and tools for automating repetitive tasks.
- Work closely with QA Engineers and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Engage in learning sessions to further enhance your technical and testing skills.
- Provide regular updates to team leads and stakeholders about the status of testing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (2024 pass-out only).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning.
- Attention to detail and an enthusiasm for quality assurance.
